Pre Purchase house inspection
I asked John T. Garrett & Assoc. to carry out a pre purchase inspection before I bought my house in Dublin. It was great to be invited to be in attendance during the inspection. The report was thorough and easy to read and completed promptly. I was delighted with the service and John spent considerable time doing the inspection which was very reassuring. John had done some work for me before in limerick and I had no hesitation in asking him to come Dublin in order to give me the assurances I needed to proceed with the purchase. John has an incredible attention to detail, is extremely honest and reliable and I would have no problem recommending him to anyone.

Construction supervision
John supervised the construction of a new house for me in 2009. There were a number of technical engineering issues to be dealt with and his advice on these issues was invaluable. Since 2009, he has helped me with a number of smaller issues. John is the ultimate professional. He is responsive, knowledgeable, disciplined, firm and fair. I appreciated his non-confrontational approach and his mediation skills.

Project management
We first met Mr. John Garrett over 20 years ago when we were in the process of purchasing our first home and we were very satisfied with his expert advice and guidance. We have engaged his services through the years for various projects. When it came to the building our present home a number of years ago, we knew that as our building knowledge base was limited, we would have to engage an Engineer to direct the project. The decision was easy; we knew that we could trust John and the project would be in very capable hands. We thoroughly enjoyed the building of our home and have many lovely memories of stress free site meetings with John and our builder. John is a very conscientious, highly professional, and a very personable Engineer who has always given us excellent advice and guidance. I have recommended John to many of our friends all of whom were equally as satisfied as we were. If we were to build again we would definitely have John as part of the team.

Construction supervision
I engaged John when I built my house in Crecora. He was a complete professional to deal with throughout. He visited the site regularly and followed each visit up with a report for both myself and the builder. He maintained a good relationship with us both thus making it easy to resolve any issues that arose. His attention to detail was excellent. I felt I was in good hands and he took the worry out of it for me. Truly he was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him

John Garrett presented a lecture titled “The Engineer as an Expert Witness” for the Thomond Region of Engineers Ireland in 2013. John’s professionalism and experience as an expert witness, conciliator and mediator made this event the highlight event of the year for engineers in the Thomond Region. Since the lecture, many requests have been made to organise a repeat event. This highlights the high regard and esteem with which John is held within the engineering community”
